With the help of this list, you can plan your next big outing with your dog and find the perfect new getaway destination for you and your furry friend, too.

Some dog beaches near Plymouth Meeting include:

Wildwood Dog Beach in Wildwood, NJ

Wildwood Dog Beach is about two hours away from Plymouth Meeting by car and is located on Cape May in New Jersey. It is the only dog-specific beach on this list and is a great place for you to take your dog if he loves to interact with other dogs and humans too! This dog beach can be very busy during the on-season, so keep this in mind.

This beach is open dawn to dusk every day and serves as a dog park with a beach walk included. When you visit, make sure to pick up after your dog. Don’t bring your dog to this location if he is aggressive or fearful toward other dogs.

Fisherman’s Cove Conservation Area in Manasquan, NJ

A little over an hour away by car and located in New Jersey, the Fisherman’s Cove Conservation Area has plenty for you and your dog both to explore and enjoy. There are some wooded hiking trails and nature walks on-site as well as a lot of room to spread out and get comfortable along the beach, too.

This location is open year-round, although the weather may be too unpleasant for much beachside relaxing during the winter months. Keep in mind, too, that dogs must remain on-leash when they are at this beach, so there are no chances for off-leash playtime or exploration when visiting Fisherman’s Cove.

Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park in Long Branch, NJ

This park is located about 90 minutes away by car in New Jersey. Dogs are not permitted on this beach during the busy season, but they are welcome during the off-season. Although going to the beach in New Jersey during the off-season may not seem like the ideal experience, it can still give you a nice chance to get out and enjoy some nature with your dog along for the ride.

This location also features 38 acres of land with plenty of chances to walk, run, and play. Dogs and humans both can enjoy this beach and the water together. This is one of the closest options for dog-friendly beach activities when you live in Plymouth Meeting.

Beach Haven in New Jersey

Beach Haven is actually a town in New Jersey that is about two hours away from Plymouth Meeting by car. It is located on Long Beach Island and is filled with B&Bs, vacation rentals, and plenty of beach life. If you’re looking for a fun getaway that can involve an overnight stay or even several nights on the beach, Beach Haven may be the destination for you.

Keep in mind that dogs are not allowed on the beaches here from May through September. They are welcome throughout the off-season as long as they remain on-leash, however. Not every beach in Beach Haven allows dogs, but many of them do. You should always check the posted rules at any beach you’re visiting to make sure you’re following the guidelines when bringing your dog.
